10/28/2023 0 Comments Arduino mega as isp pinoutMy apologies, I mistyped and the footprint for the mega on my PCB seems to have the pin numbers different but they are in the correct location on the actual board. Even the pin numbers on 2560 are incorrect (MISO - 22. ISP requires 6 wires and surely D10 and D13 are not connected together. I did read about changing the high level fuse from D8 to D9 in the board txt file but that did not work either. Not sure what I am missing as I followed the base circuit for the mega 2560 on Arduino's site so that should be ok. The pin number on the mega correlates to the actual pin number on the microcontroller itself and not the pinout on the mega breakout board. I have from left to right ( nano to mega) I've checked wiring and it seems correct. Trying to burn the bootloader via a nano as isp but I am getting errors.Īrduino: 1.8.3 (Mac OS X), Board: "Arduino/Genuino Mega or Mega 2560, ATmega2560 (Mega 2560)"Īvrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x15Īvrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 2 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x15Īvrdude: stk500_getparm(): (a) protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x14Īvrdude: stk500_getparm(): (a) protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x01Īvrdude: stk500_initialize(): (a) protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x10ĭouble check connections and try again, or use -F to overrideĪvrdude: stk500_disable(): unknown response=0x12 I've built a PCB that uses the mega 2560.
